The Polymer technique and chemical compositions also makes it possible to reach extreme high number of charge/discharge cycles of in excess of 5000 cycles, combined with a long life time. With these cells ESTechnologies manufactures high voltage and high power battery systems. For this propose battery blocks of 51,8 Vdc are developed with a capacity of 100Ah or 200Ah. The battery blocks are constructed with just 14 large single cells instead of (more commonly used) hundreds of small cells. This adds to the already high reliability of the battery systems. Each battery has its own Battery Management System with active balancing. The required power and voltage is realized through connecting batteries in series or in parallel up to 750Vdc. ESTechnologies will be responsible for the complete delivery and installation of the complete battery system including overall battery management and safety features. Because of working with high DC voltages, safety has high priority and is incorporated in the total design philosophy. The casing and connectors are fully shrouded and have an IP65 degree of protection.
